Dropbox ist für mich definitiv eine “must have” App für das iPhone.

Dropbox ermöglicht den einfachen Datentausch zwischen verschiedenen Rechnern und jetzt auch zwischen iPhone und Rechner. Dabei synchronisiert Dropbox die Daten über das Internet. Mit der für Windows, Mac OS X und Linux erhältlichen Software tauscht man zwischen beliebigen Rechnern Daten per Drag&Drop aus.

Besonders praktisch wird das Ganze in Verbindung mit einer Office App wie z. B. “Office²” von Byte². Mit dieser mobilen Office Version können Dokumente, Tabellen und Präsentationen, unterwegs auf dem iPhone bearbeitet werden. Wenn man nun dabei ein Dokument aus seiner Dropbox bearbeitet und dieses anschließend auch wieder dort speichert, so haben auch die Kollegen auf ihren Rechner, immer den aktuellen Stand des Dokuments zur Hand. Das ist schon fast eine Art “mini private cloud”.
